Boy has it been HOT

Awfully hot humid weather...topping out at 100 yesterday! I don't know how the kids survived soccer camp this week...it's been brutal. Luckily Wednesday they came in from the fields to watch the USA World Cup game and what a game that was! GO USA!

Anyway last weekend was very productive for me. Finished 3 layouts, finished my blog project, have another project started and an idea for a 4th layout brewing. So have you checked the CC blog today? It's "Creativity Week" and today was my day to post. Here's what I posted...

Full details and instructions(with pictures) can be found on the Coordinates Collections blog .

Otherwise, been trying to stay cool. The pool or air conditioning work best. Picked the kids up from camp today(half day) Becca's at a Pool Party, Dan & Fritz are out doing some errands, I'm doing laundry. Then will be packing to send the boy off to Boy Scout Camp. We will be going as a family to the Phillies game tonight and then after we drop Fritz at camp on Sunday we will be going to see the Union play at their brand new stadium on Sunday. Busy weekend ahead, but I'm hoping to get some scrapping/crafting in tomorrow.

{busy creating}

If I had a sign on my door that's what it would say this weekend. Have so many ideas floating around in my head I feel like it's going to explode. Right now I have 2 projects going in various stages of completion. (Some drying time involved, thus my blogging)

Working on projects with the "Parade" kit and also finishing up my project for next week's CC blog post. (For this I still also need to edit pictures and write up the post)

Just wanted to show you these...

I stamped these on some leftover cork from the cork board project. (Used a stamp from HeroArts & Stazon ink...then cutout by hand) These are going to be in a project using the Parade kit...stay tuned!

So good to be home

It's been one of those weeks and it continues tomorrow. So I am home enjoying the peace tonight.
Here's a few pictures from Tuesday's dress rehearsal...

I decided to show this one because of love all those little heads lined up across the stage. During dress rehearsal there is always a group of younger girls peering over the top of the stage watching the older girls. They either try to emulate what that see on stage or just stand and watch. Sometimes they are just too funny.

And then this was her last routine "Doctor, Doctor...I've got a bad case of loving you" That's her in the front dancing in towards the "Doctor". 3 Dances and a finale, each night for the past 3 nights, it's been a long week. Though last night was my night just to sit back and watch...what a great show. some of those older girls can really dance!

Anyway while this has been going on I've had a box from Coordinates Collections waiting for me at home. I've opened it and peeked inside...but it will have to wait a few more days. Today is Friday so my blog post at CC went up today. It was my June "Jack" reveal...you can check it out here.

That's all I have for now.
Going to read a book for a bit then crawl into bed.

it's Hot & Humid!

I finally broke down and closed up the house this afternoon. The humidity is horrible as I was standing at my scrap counter cleaning up my leftovers from the June kit...sweat was dripping off my face (sorry...TMI?). Anyway 90+ degree temps and about 95% humidity is a bit much. Only for a few days so they say. Enough about the weather. It's just a hang around the house weekend for us. Next week we have something every night and then a tournament over the weekend.

Today was "reveal day" over at Coordinates Collections. Which means "reveal week" will start Monday on the blog. My dear friend Kimberly posted a peek of a few of her Fab projects today. I will show you one of my layouts here...

Just a real simple one using the piece of BoBunny paper included in the kit as the background.
It's all "Jack" kit except for the label sticker & felt soccer balls. My blog post on the CC blog will have a few more projects and tips/ideas. Stay tuned for that on Friday. If you can't wait until then you can see all my projects here .

Well I did start a project today using this....

I fell in love with this bag when I saw it at CHA in January. The examples Donna (Downey) had made were beautiful. When Jamie got them in the store I picked one up and it has been sitting in the box for the last few months just waiting to be altered. Today was the day the process began and I L-O-V-E what I have going on so far. You'll have to wait until later this month to see how it turns out. Like I said not a lot will get done this coming week at my house.

Talk later.

TGIF

It was a short, but long week if you know what I mean.

Have you been checking the Coordinates Collections blog this week? We've started with the "team posting"...today was my day. You can check it out here. (I will be posting on the CC blog every Friday. Tomorrow is the reveal day on the site, but all next week is reveal week on the blog. We will take turns posting our projects...with "tips" about each one. Kind of like the newsletter that we have now done away with.

Well got to get done some CC stuff here on the computer so I can settle down in a bit to watch the Flyers and the Phillies. (I certainly wouldn't want to be driving through South Philly tonight...both teams are at home!) Hopefully with the heat & humidity we are having those bats will come alive tonight. They've had such excellent pitching, but no hitting!!! Gotta get the yearly slump behind us. And if the Flyers played like they did 2 nights ago...I think they might actually be able to win the Stanley Cup.
