My scrappy room is a disaster right now...there is not 1" of clear space. I blew through that last kit and left a huge trail of bits and pieces everywhere. I ventured in tonight while killing time before picking up from soccer practice. I slowly began digging thru the mess and realized I have a lot of stuff and since I'm not getting my own space in the near future (sharing with DH currently...hoping someday to make the playroom my scrappy space) I need to do a little purging while cleaning. (This is where you can benefit.) I love my scrappy supplies as most of us do, love the shopping for new product almost as much as the creative part of the process...by far one of my biggest addictions is alphabets. They just call to me...so much so that I sometimes buy a package not realizing I already have it. However, there are some that are my "go-to" alphas and I need to keep a stash so I will never run out. So far I've pulled out this little stash of alphas that will go to some lucky blog reader
In addition to this little bundle of goodies I have a feeling there may also be a few other things thrown in when it is sent out. Are you interested?
If you are interested just leave me a comment here telling me what supply you can't get enough of. I'll leave this contest open until March 31st at 9pm EDT. A random winner will be announced on Wednesday April 1st.

Catching up
Sorry I haven't blogged, but it was a bit busy last week. After 6 years (1yr of K-cubs & 5 of cub scouts) we are now officially a boy scout. Tuesday night was the "Arrow of Light" ceremony then late Sat. afternoon/evening was the "Crossing Over" and the Blue & Gold dinner. With that add in 3 soccer practices, 2 dance classes, my work schedule, and the fact that DH was on nights...it's been crazy around here.
Anyway what a difference a week makes...the weather was sunny this weekend and both soccer games were won. Yesterdays game was actually on the warm side (at least if you were in the sun ) So after the game we went to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner...it was only about 15 minutes from the game. Unfortunately there was a 40min wait for dinner, but besides the long wait dinner was fabulous as usual. It was the first time the kids ever went and they loved it. I have enough of my salad leftover for lunch today and of course we got slices of cheesecake to bring home last night.
Before leaving on the soccer adventure yesterday, I started doing my write-ups for the newsletter. I also discovered I didn't have pictures taken of all my projects so hopefully today when I get home I can get the rest of the pictures taken...thank goodness for daylight savings.
So that's a brief synopsis of what's been happening around here. Hopefully I'll have something crafty to share soon.

I wish I could show you
what I've been working on this week. I'm really loving all the projects I've been doing with this months "Puddles" kit over at Coordinates Collections. So far I have 4 layouts and a card done...all just in one week. Unfortunately, I can't show them to you until April. To tie you over here's another little peek.......
.
Again you can see some of those cute letter stickers available in the "sticker book" addon you can pick up in the CC store. (I've already gone back to the store and ordered some more of those books in a couple of other collections by Pink Paislee) I also added some Kaiser rhinestones from my stash.
Want to see more of these kits??? My cyber/scrapping BFF Lisa has made videos highlighting both kits and some of the addons available in the CC store. I'm not sure if she has them up on her blog, but you can watch them here on the CC Message Board.
So besides working on my DT stuff we had 2 soccer games this weekend (both were lost 1-0) Today we stood outside ....it was 45 F and lightly raining. Really Fun---NOT! oh well much sunnier/winning days ahead I am sure.

Not much to say...
amazing huh??? It's just been one of those weeks. I did get a second layout done with my April Kit over the weekend. Gotta love both of these kits! (maybe I'm just biased since I helped to put them together???) Have another idea.stewing in my head...just gotta find the pictures.
All the talk lately about "Sassy" and "Hollywood" hair on the MB led me to get a haircut last night (actually it was previously scheduled and I missed it...I've never missed an appointment before...life's just been a bit crazy) it actually looks pretty good. She blew it out straight last night and I like it. Now if I only had the patience to do it myself.
Soccer has officially started...will be heading out to drop off at practice in a bit.

Sunny Saturday
After the below freezing temps and storm we had on Monday it was hard to believe that it was 70 and sunny today. I turned off the heat, opened some windows and did a little cleaning. After doing a few chores the kids rode bikes and played outside in shorts!!!! (B always making a statement was wearing a soccer jersey, shorts and pink Uggs)
Anyway good thing I got stuff done around the house this morning because after lunch the mailman delivered my DT stuff. WooHoo...I LOVE this kit!!!!
After delving into the box as soon as it hit the kitchen table...pouring over the kit contents and the other goodies I bought this month I gathered it all up and ran upstairs to start playing. One layout done already and another idea brewing:wink:
Here's a little sneek for you.....
I have to draw your attention to the cute little blue letter stickers and that gray border sticker with the circles on the points....these both come in the "Fetching" sticker book by Pink Paislee that is available as a kit addon this month. You get a sheet of alphas, a sheet of border strips and a sheet of stickers in the book that all coordinate with the collection. I think I'm going to be picking up a few more of those books in some of the other collections too. FUN STUFF!!!
Well I believe the weather is suppose to be more of the same tomorrow...just a few small piles of snow left around. It's a good thing too. Soocer starts this week. Fritz has a practice tomorrow afternoon, Wednesday night, Friday night and then the 1st game is next Sunday afternoon. The rec. program also starts this week so Becca has practice Wednesday night too and then her game is Saturday morning. Busy times ahead!

After the storm
everyone went back to school and I went to work. One thing I like after a good storm is the bright blue sky and against all that white it was pretty spectacular. So on my lunch hour I decided to wander out and take some pictures. I'll give you a little bit of the lay of the land before you look at them. Ocean City has a wooden boardwalk that is 2 1/2 miles long. The extreme northern end and southern ends are residential. (Commercial areas ie: rides, stores, and food run only from 5th St to 14th St and the boardwalk is 3x's as wide) I wanted to go to a more desolate (this time of year) area so I drove to 20th St instead of walking to the boardwalk from work (besides the sidewalks weren't really safe for walking)
I only had a point & shoot camera in my purse so the pictures are so-so.
This first picture is standing on the boardwalk looking south ....
Now I walked down the beach access steps onto the path thru the dunes onto the beach
(good thing I had already decided that I will be replacing my high black leather boots the end of this season )
From this point I turned to look North. In the distance the pink building and the large white building are the 2 biggest hotels on the island. You can make out a few amusements sticking up in the air too. If I had been standing further down the path or on the beach you would have been able to see the casinos in Atlantic City.
Now around the bend in the path you can catch a glimpse of the beach and the Atlantic Ocean...
Finally looking straight down on to the beach...I wasn't walking any further. As I said earlier I was in my work clothes. If dressed properly I would have loved to go for a walk along the beach.
So that's it for today...just a few not so typical pictures of the beach. It's experiencing days like these that I truly feel very lucky living here along the coast. I'm sure something scrappy will be posted later in the week.

Thank Goodness for Snow Days...
well it isn't even lunch time yet and I've done some laundry, pulled out something for dinner and finished the mini album I started yesterday. So we had 2 back to back storms with just a few hours break between them early this morning. At about 7am I went outside...shoveled off the back deck & measured the snow...it was 7" at that time. It since snowed all morning depositing a few more inches. Here's a look at the backyard before the 2nd storm...
This snowy fellow is our dog Riley...he's being coated by the 2nd round of snow.
I know enough of the personal stuff, you want to see that mini-album...right???
This is a perfect project for a day like today. The hardest part for me was sorting thru all our Disney pictures. To start your album you need a bunch of these little cards. I have been saving them (minus a few that have gone missing) just waiting for an idea. These are the room keys you are given when staying at a Disney resort.
Punch a few holes, add some pictures, embellies , ring and ribbon ....
Voila! Your own little mini!!!!
I painted and glittered a Maya Road chipboard word and added a Bazzill chip tag with Doodlebug stickers for the front. Here's a view of the reverse side of the cards....
Here's a fun little chipboard embellie I made with some Basic Grey raw chipboard that I painted, glittered, added a Mickey eyelet thru the star, and some MM tiny alphas.
Another chipboard embellie: Basic Grey chipboard, painted, stamped with circular dot stamp and then added some Fancy Pants felt circles to make the Mickey icon.
Lost a room card??? How about using an old photopass card....
So that's my album. I'm planning on adding to it with each new trip.
What do you think????I'm pretty pleased with it
ETA: I want to say the cool thing about these cards are that they are imprinted with your name and dates of stay. I just picked a corresponding picture for each member of the family and adhered to the appropriate card.
Okay off to enjoy some more snow... anyway blogger was not very happy with me uploading all these pictures(this is my 3rd attempt at this post!)

March is coming in like a lion...
supposedly a major storm is on it's way. It is suppose to start early this evening and run thru tomorrow. We are looking at approximately 9+ inches of snow! I'm thinking we may have a snow day tomorrow. The kids haven't had one in 2 years!!!
Today is reveal day over at Coordinates Collections (March 1st). Here is my favorite layout from the fabulous Earth kit.
It's a very clean layout using some glittered diecuts from Crate Paper & Pattern Paper/letter stickers from Sassafrass Lass. To get the layered title I traced chipboard letters by Fancy Pants with a brown marker, layered the SassLass stickers and some stamped letters. I made the photocollage in Photoshop and printed my journaling directly on to the cardstock using my computer.
I started sorting thru pictures from our Disney vacations last night, I think I've come up with a clever little mini album idea (if I do say so myself ) It documents all of our trips in one little album. If I'm home tomorrow I will definitely have it finished, so stay tuned for that.
